Each 'game' (visual novel really) focuses on one couple with ten volumes in the series last time I checked.

Whenever that aspect of the premise comes up, the gag is that the protagonist has no idea how to be a girl, not that she isn't or doesn't want to be one. ) VN available on Impulse called Shira Oka ( and which I've never played before and keep meaning to get around to doing so. (I eventually went back and did Nekoko's path, which is hilarious and sexier, but still... The fanart also has a sharktopus girl, for some reason.

This is under the category of "heard good things about it", but again, no personal experience, so try at your own risk. There's a demo and the full game is cheap so might as well check it out. The demo is fairly short, but gives a decent idea of the different personalities involved. I think they've finished two or three of the 5 paths, but it's non-professional, so it's pretty hard to get firm release dates.

Okay, that last one's kind of iffy as far as "romance" goes. On a related topic, can anyone recommend any good yuri dating games?

:o Lol, don't be silly :( What would you prefer visual novel style or sim?

It was a bit slow for my tastes and it isn't totally clear how you get the guy you want from some of your possible decisions, but it served as a good intro into the genre. -- Griffinhart plays to me almost exactly like a Tokimeki Memorial game, save for that it's set in England and takes up a much smaller part of the year.

I like how KS has been linked twice so far in this thread. And by Tokimeki Memorial, I mean Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side- as mentioned before, the first two DS games have been translated (the third is in process by the team who did the second one, though they're currently concentrating on a different project). 604078-Hatoful-Boyfriend), and telling my buddy about it, and now his wife wants to play a dating sim. This is not a request which my life experience to date has prepared me to fulfill. It wants an English translation, obviously; free or at least demo-equipped would be nice; if there's any Western ones that are any good, that would be nice too.Oh, and she wants to play as a boy for some reason, which I don't imagine should be much of a problem. 604078-Hatoful-Boyfriend), and telling my buddy about it, and now his wife wants to play a dating sim. There are both adult and non-adult version available depending on if you want a bit of sex in there.I've, ah, encountered screenshots from Sona Hana Bira before I think. ) VN available on Impulse that I've completely forgotten the name of called Shira Oka ( and which I've never played before and keep meaning to get around to doing so. I preferred planetarian out of the Key games I've played, but that's less of a dating sim/visual novel and more of a kinetic novel and oh jeez now I sound like a horrendous nerd/hipster. I find Key games to be manipulative tragedy porn but can't argue they don't work for people who like the mix of cute and tragic.:o I try to get stuff legally when I can, which makes it hard. This is under the category of "heard good things about it", but again, no personal experience, so try at your own risk. Like I said in the other thread, there's actually a fairly reasonable approximation of a (very simplified) dating sim bolted onto the side of Dragon Age 2, but the fact that you have to slog through sixty hours of hack-and-slash to get at about ninety minutes of dating-sim content hurts it in the cost/benefit analysis. On a related topic, can anyone recommend any good yuri dating games? The Key fans among my cohort are downright fanatical so the company must be doing something right.:o Well, Kashimashi had a visual novel ( made of it, but it might be hard to get ahold of. If someone wants to try out visual novels I would rec. well, Key's not bad, but if you've played a Key VN, you've played all the Key VNs.
